Weekend cooking at Juniper House calls for food preparation expertise and solid kitchen safety practices in Merritt. This is a part-time Saturday and Sunday position.

As General Cook, you work alongside the Head Cook at ASK Wellness Society’s Juniper House. You support daily kitchen activities, menu preparation, food quality, ordering, and stocking. Service follows a client-centered, non-judgmental perspective while meeting organizational and government standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and cook up to 52 meals daily
- Assist with meal preparation and kitchen service
- Organize stock, ingredients, and food rotation
- Maintain hygiene, cleanliness, and kitchen safety
- Monitor equipment and report repair concerns

Requirements:
- Minimum two years’ prep or cooking experience preferred
- Advanced food hygiene and safe kitchen practices knowledge
- Occupational First Aid Level 1 certification required
- Food Safe Level 1 and WHMIS required
- Acceptable vulnerable sector criminal record check required
