Overview

Duties

- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, marinating proteins, and measuring spices.
- Cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper storage of food items.
- Follow all food safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of both staff and customers.
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages to management.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation during peak hours.
- Help train recent kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.

Skills

- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations within the food industry.
- Experience in meal preparation and cooking within a restaurant or food service setting.
