Join Avela Catering & Events as we build our Back-of-House team for a high-profile international sporting event in Vancouver this summer. We are looking for team members who are organized, efficient, and take pride in clean and consistent culinary execution in a high-output kitchen environment.

Role Descriptions : We are hiring the following BOH roles: Chef Coordinator :

- Head of the kitchen team. This role is the main contact between the BOH team and the Head/Event Management team.
- Responsible for: Chef Supervisors, BOH Chefs
- Report to: Executive Chef

Chef Supervisor :

- Responsible for food quality. This role manages the BOH chefs, is in charge of the gastronomic experience, food presentation and quality.
- Responsible for: BOH Chefs
- Report to: Kitchen Coordinator

Stewarding Supervisor :

- Responsible for the Steward/Cleaner and Porter BOH team.



This role is the main contact between the Service and BOH team, manages the work of stewards and porters, and ensures proper turnover of all china, cutlery, and glassware.
- Responsible for: Stewards/Cleaners, Kitchen Porter
- Report to: Service Coordinator

Chefs, Logistics/Beverage Runners, Stewards/Porters

- Report to: Chef Supervisors, Logistics/Beverage Manager, Stewarding Supervisor

Schedule : Varying shifts depending on event needs, including daytime, evening, and weekend schedules between June 1st through July 15th.

All positions will be under an averaging agreement not exceeding 40 hours per week.

Compensation : $20-40/hr depending on position and experience.
