Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Survey Crew Chief to join our team. The Survey Crew Chief will be for responsible for overseeing and conducting field surveys, collecting accurate data and calculations to support construction and development projects. Key responsibilities include operating survey equipment, ensuring data accuracy, coordinating with team members, and preparing reports and documentation. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects utilizing advanced surveying technologies and software. You will work collaboratively to ensure projects are completed efficiently, meeting both client and regulatory requirements.

Role Requirements

- Conduct land surveys using traditional methods and modern equipment such as total stations, GPS, and laser scanners.
- Collect, analyze, manage and interpret spatial data.
- Prepare detailed survey reports, maps, and drawings using AutoCAD and other survey software.
- Support construction projects by providing accurate boundary lines, topographic information, and site layouts
- Manage survey data efficiently within databases and GIS systems to ensure data integrity and accessibility
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and construction teams to facilitate project planning and execution
- Ensure all survey activities comply with local regulations, safety standards,



and company policies
- Training and mentoring survey team members.

Qualifications

- Proven experience with land surveying techniques and equipment including RTK GPS, modern Total Stations and Laser Scanning equipment.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, as well as, survey and data management software would be an asset.
- Strong understanding of construction processes and site development procedures.
- Ability to collect accurate geospatial data in various environments.
- Experience working with databases for storing and managing survey information.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Relevant certifications, degrees or licenses while not required would be considered an asset in employment consideration.
- Relevant industry experience is essential.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Class 5 Driver's License with a good driving record is required.

Job Types : Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
