Support therapeutic programs for children with disabilities at Queen Alexandra Centre in Victoria using communication and rehabilitation skills. This temporary full time position requires regular travel between sites.

Reporting to a Manager or Program Coordinator, and supervised by a therapist, the Rehabilitation & Therapy Assistant carries out therapeutic programs for children. The position supports Island Health’s focus on patient and staff safety. Candidates need rehabilitation assistant education or equivalent preparation, plus a valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support therapeutic programs for children with disabilities
- Carry out programs under general therapist supervision
- Travel regularly between multiple assigned sites




- Meet transportation arrangements required by Island Health
- Support ongoing quality and safety improvement

Requirements:
- Complete a Rehabilitation Assistant Program or equivalent preparation
- Hold a valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License
- Communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Deal effectively with others
- Physically carry out position duties
