Apply cost engineering and project controls expertise to Aecon’s civil construction work at the John Hart Dam in Campbell River. The role is site-based.Aecon seeks an experienced Project Controls Specialist for a seismic upgrade strengthening an existing hydroelectric dam. The work includes cost and budget management, forecasting, payment support, client applications, change order proposals, and stakeholder reporting. You will also participate in cost and scheduling decisions, with occasional support for the Scheduler.Key Responsibilities:
Maintain project-level costs, budgets, quantities, and forecastsCalculate forecast cost to complete and budget revisionsFacilitate client payment applications and subcontractor paymentsAssemble cost and schedule proposals for change ordersPrepare internal and external project reportsRequirements:
Approximately five to ten years’ project controls experienceRelevant civil construction experienceDegree in a related field or applicable work experienceStrong SAP and Microsoft Excel capabilitiesKnowledge of PMBOK, cost engineering, and Earned ValueUse cost control, forecasting, SAP, and Excel skills to support Aecon’s seismic upgrade project delivery.
