My client is looking to add an experienced Construction Superintendent to their team in the Lower Mainland. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in civil and wastewater construction to take on a key site leadership role delivering complex infrastructure work.

About Our Client

My client is an established construction contractor delivering civil and industrial projects. They are looking for a hands-on leader who can coordinate site teams, manage challenging scopes of work and build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and the wider project team.

The Opportunity

You will oversee field activities on wastewater infrastructure works, coordinating crews, subcontractors and resources to keep construction progressing safely and efficiently. The role will suit someone comfortable managing live services, planning shutdowns and tie-ins, and resolving technical challenges alongside the project management team.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

- Coordinate daily site activities, setting transparent priorities for crews and subcontractors.
- Plan labour, equipment and material requirements around upcoming work.
- Develop short-term schedules with the project team and address issues that could affect delivery.
- Oversee civil, mechanical and associated wastewater construction scopes.
- Coordinate shutdowns, bypass arrangements and connections to existing infrastructure, maintaining continuity of service.
- Review drawings and site conditions to identify construction challenges before work begins.
- Monitor workmanship and coordinate inspections, testing and deficiency resolution.




- Lead site safety practices and ensure environmental controls are maintained.
- Work closely with the Project Manager, client representatives and operations personnel to resolve site issues.
- Maintain daily records, progress updates and project documentation using Procore.
- Maintain professional relationships with neighbouring residents and other parties affected by construction.
- Provide leadership and continuity across site operations as project demands change.

Requirements

- 10+ years of construction experience, including substantial experience as a Senior Foreman or Superintendent.
- Hands-on experience delivering wastewater treatment plant construction is essential.
- Experience coordinating work within active facilities, including shutdowns, sequencing and live tie-ins.
- Strong understanding of civil and mechanical construction scopes within wastewater projects.
- Red Seal or equivalent trade certification.
- Confident managing crews and subcontractors, with a practical approach to resolving site challenges.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with clients, operations teams and project management.

Compensation

- Base salary $150,000 - $180,00, with flexibility depending on relevant wastewater experience.
