Job Summary
Welcome to Dirty Diesel Customs!
We’re one of the biggest names in diesel performance, and we got there by doing things a little different. We’re a full-service diesel shop, a major online retailer for parts and performance products, and a hub for diesel research and development, all under one roof.
None of that can be possible without the amazing people who make up our very talented team!
We’re hiring a truck person who’s also valuable with a computer. You’ll own how thousands of diesel parts show up on our website: what they’re called, which trucks they fit, where they live in the menu, and whether the details are right. If you’ve ever worked a parts counter, wrenched on diesels, or spent too many nights reading forums about your own truck, keep reading.
What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain product listings on our Shopify store: titles, descriptions, fitment, specs, images, and pricing details
- Organize and maintain our website navigation menu, so parts are filed where a truck owner would actually look for them
- Verify fitment (year, make, model, engine) against manufacturer data, and catch the listings that are wrong before a customer does
- Troubleshoot problems: why a product isn’t showing up, why two listings conflict, why a vendor’s data doesn’t add up
- Process vendor price updates: read the price sheet, match it to the right SKUs, and make sure it lands correctly on the site
- Catch pricing problems before customers do: a part priced below cost, a missing price, a listing that’s out of line with similar parts
- Use AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, whatever gets the job done) to work faster without giving up accuracy
- Spot what’s missing or messy on the site and fix it without waiting to be asked
Who You Are
- You know diesel trucks. You can tell a 6.0 from a 6.7 Powerstroke, and an LBZ from an L5P,
without looking it up
- You know where parts go on a truck and how they relate to each other: fuel system, air intake, exhaust, cooling, suspension, drivetrain
- A problem solver. When something doesn’t make sense, you dig until it does
- Detail-obsessed. A wrong year range or a duplicate listing bugs you
- Tech savvy. You pick up new software quickly and you’re comfortable in spreadsheets
- Decisive. You make the call, build processes that work, and confidently change what isn’t working as the role grows
- Good with numbers. Markups, margins and percentages make sense to you, and you notice when a figure looks wrong
Qualifications
- Strong working knowledge of diesel trucks and aftermarket parts (parts counter, shop, or serious enthusiast experience)
- Comfortable with Excel or Google Sheets
- Shopify or e-commerce experience is an asset, but we’ll teach it
- Experience with parts catalogs, fitment lookups, or vendor portals is a big plus
- Clear written communication, because your listings are what our customers read
- Experience with parts pricing, quoting or price sheets is an asset (parts counter people, this is you)
So... Why Join Us?
We’re a tight crew here. Basically family, except this family gives you dental and never questions your life choices when you buy more truck parts. We actually encourage it.
- Above-market wages, regular wage reviews, and incentive bonuses. Your truck has expensive taste.... we understand.
- Benefits that actually cover stuff.
Health, dental, vision, and extended health care. Your body is a high-mileage vehicle too. We cover the maintenance schedule.
- Employee discount on parts and labour. Fair warning: this will not save you money. It will just mean you buy more parts. Your significant other has been warned.
- Monday to Friday. No evenings. No weekends. Weekends are for working on your own truck, or helping a buddy move because you’re the one with the truck.
- Paid time off. For vacations, appointments, or the day your new parts show up.
- Casual dress. Hoodies, boots, and the same hat you’ve worn since 2014. Nobody here is judging.
- Free on-site parking. Park your truck where the whole crew can stand around and stare at it on break. It’s basically a truck show with paperwork.
- Room to grow. We promote from within as we expand. Unlike your fuel economy, your career actually goes up.
- Company events. Frequent, fun, and optional. But there’s usually free food, so nobody actually skips them...
- The crew. A team that works hard, plays hard, and argues about Cummins vs Duramax vs Powerstroke at lunch. Every day. Forever. You will pick a side. Choose wisely.
