- 1- 3 years of experience in a Welding & Fabrication inspection in a job shop environment is a must
- College diploma as a Quality Control Technician or equivalent work experience. (technician level in Weld or Quality Engineering)

- Able to communicate persuasively and tactfully
- Able to establish and maintain effective personal relationships
- Strong communication and documentation skills as you will be constantly dealing with customers and vendors

- Solid analytical abilities
- CGSB Level 2 LPI/MPI is preferred or must be obtained quickly
- CWB Certified as a Welding Supervisor preferred
- CWB Welding Inspector 178.2 (level 2) an asset

- Blue Reading is a must (including GDT and weld symbols)
- Dimensional layout requirements and review at Machine Shops




- Some travel req'd for reviewing outside Paint (including MIL thickness and blast profile)
- Able to work independently, provide analysis and direction for improvement, and exercise judgement where supervision may be minimal
- Able to work in an environment which is subject to general review only and requires considerable accuracy and responsibility
- Able to self-check generally through consultation with other management or supervisory team members
- Able to demonstrate good judgement
- Self-starter
- Well versed in Microsoft Office software
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $54,500.00-$72,000.00 per year

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
