The Bearcan Group is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our team. This is an opportunity for a proven construction professional who can independently manage projects from planning through completion while building strong relationships with clients, project teams and trade partners.

The successful candidate will take ownership of project schedules, costs, forecasting, procurement and risk management while working closely with Site Super, designers, consultants and trade partners to keep projects on schedule and maintain a high standard of quality.

We are looking for someone who takes ownership, communicates well, stays organized and can anticipate and resolve issues before they affect project delivery.

Responsibilities

- Lead projects from initial planning through execution and closeout.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, cost forecasts, procurement plans and risk registers.
- Monitor project costs, schedules and key milestones and address issues that could affect project delivery.
- Maintain regular communication with clients and build strong, professional relationships throughout the project.
- Lead project meetings and manage meeting minutes, action items and follow-up.
- Manage project changes and change-control processes.
- Work closely with Site Super to coordinate project requirements and keep work progressing.
- Coordinate with designers, consultants, suppliers and trade partners.
- Identify project risks early and develop practical solutions.
- Coordinate procurement of materials, equipment and trade partners in line with project schedules.
- Monitor the critical path and proactively address potential delays.
- Maintain a strong focus on quality throughout the project.
- Ensure projects are properly closed out, including outstanding items and required documentation.

Qualifications





- 5 years of relevant project management experience, preferably in construction or a related industry.
- Proven ability to independently manage projects from planning through closeout.
- Strong knowledge of project scheduling, cost management, forecasting, procurement and risk management.
- Experience working directly with clients and coordinating multiple project stakeholders.
- Strong planning, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Practical, solutions-focused approach to project challenges.
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Ability to work effectively with Site Super, designers, consultants, suppliers and trade partners.
