MGM Financial is hiring an experienced Paraplanner to join our in-office team in our Burnaby or Coquitlam, BC office. You'll work alongside our advisors to research client situations, build financial plans and prepare summary reports.

This role is built for someone who wants to grow. As you develop your skills and licensing, there is a clear path to an Associate Advisor position, with more direct client contact and responsibility.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Research client circumstances, goals and existing holdings ahead of advisor meetings
- Gather and organize client data, statements and documents into our planning software
- Prepare financial plans, including retirement, cash flow, tax, insurance and estate projections
- Build transparent, client-ready reports, meeting packages and presentations
- Run scenario analyses and model recommendations for advisor review
- Prepare follow-up notes, action items and paperwork after client meetings
- Keep client files, CRM records and compliance documentation accurate and current




- Support account openings, transfers and administrative processing as needed

Qualifications must include:

- [2+] years of experience as a paraplanner, planning assistant or in a similar role in financial services
- Working knowledge of financial planning concepts: retirement, RRSP/TFSA/RESP, tax, insurance and estate basics
- Strong research and analytical skills, with close attention to detail
- Clear written communication and the ability to turn complex numbers into plain-language reports
- Comfort with financial planning software, CRM systems and Excel
- Discretion and sound judgment with confidential client information

Assets:

- Mutual fund licence (Canadian Investment Funds Course or equivalent)
- Life insurance licence (LLQP)
- Progress toward the QAFP or CFP designation
- Experience with planning software (e.g. Conquest, Snap)

Pay: $50,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
