Our local state-of-the-art apple packing facility in Newcastle, Ontario is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Permanent Full-Time Industrial Sanitation Technician for our Over-Night Shift.

What you will do:

· Utilize appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment to ensure thorough sanitation of surfaces. (Washing, scrubbing, and rinsing various food contact and non-food contact equipment including belts, brushes, framework, etc.)

· Sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing floors removing scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse

· Dispose of waste materials in accordance with company policies and environmental regulations.

· Washing windows, interior walls and ceilings

· Housekeeping duties including cleaning and disinfecting washrooms and fixtures

· Moving heavy equipment and supplies

· Walking for extended periods, pushing, pulling and lifting moderately heavy to heavy loads (30-50lbs), bending and stretching, climbing on and off equipment

· Collaborate with team members to ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

You understand the importance of sanitation in a food manufacturing facility and are committed to upholding hygiene and safety standards in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements. You thrive in a physically demanding environment, are comfortable working around heavy machinery, and are proactive in identifying and addressing potential cleanliness or safety issues. Your strong work ethic, ability to work independently or as part of a team, and respect for health and safety practices make you an essential part of the sanitation team.

· Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety procedures.

· You provide your own safety shoes (CSA approved)

· You have your own reliable transportation

· Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.

Schedule: This position works a straight night shift; Sunday to Thursday 9:30pm until 6:00am. Overtime and extra shifts are available at certain times of the year.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $21.00 per hour
