Doc's Machine and Tool Inc. is looking for an experienced Machinist to join our team on a contract basis.

Are you an experienced machinist who still enjoys working with your hands, solving problems and keeping the machines running? Perhaps you are retired but not quite ready to hang up your tools! As an experienced machinist, you’ll support manufacturing work by setting up and operating CNC equipment, interpreting blueprints, and producing accurate parts.

Responsibilities

- Strong experience operating both CNC and/or conventional machining equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Perform CNC programming (Haas equipment) and machining tasks; use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment and support assembly.
- Follow lean manufacturing practices and use power tools, welding, or forklift equipment when relevant to assigned work.

Requirements
Practical machining and manufacturing capabilities, including CNC operation,



engineering drawings, accurate measurement with calipers, basic math, and safe use of hand tools. Mechanical knowledge supports setup, troubleshooting, and quality checks. Preferred: Experience with CNC programming (Haas), SolidWorks or other CAD, CNC lathes and milling machines, lean manufacturing, assembly, power tools, welding, or forklift operation.
