General Shop Hand / Spray Foam & Coatings Technician

Southwest Coatings is looking for a hardworking, reliable, and mechanically inclined individual to join our growing team. We specialize in spray foam insulation, polyurethane truck bed lining, vehicle undercoating, and protective coatings.

We are looking for a sharp, hands-on individual who takes pride in their work, has a good work ethic, and isn't afraid to get their hands dirty. This position involves a variety of shop duties, assisting with coating applications, preparing equipment and materials, and helping with jobs both in the shop and out in the field.

Responsibilities

- Assist with spray foam insulation applications.
- Assist with polyurethane truck bed liner applications.
- Assist with vehicle undercoating and protective coating applications.
- Prepare vehicles, equipment, surfaces, and materials for jobs.
- Masking, sanding, cleaning, and general job preparation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment.
- Help load, unload, and organize equipment and materials.
- Assist with equipment maintenance and general shop upkeep.
- Operate basic shop tools and equipment.
- Perform general labour duties and other tasks as required.

- Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
- Takes initiative and doesn't need constant supervision.
- Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment.
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's licence is preferred.
- Previous experience in construction, automotive, spray foam, coatings, or general labour is an asset, but not required.
