Radici project

Old Toronto

At Radici Project, we believe that great cooking begins with respect: respect for ingredients, for the seasons, for craftsmanship, and for the traditions that inspire us.

Our cuisine brings together Italian and Japanese culinary philosophies, expressed through exceptional Canadian ingredients, seasonality, creativity, and a thoughtful approach to sustainability.

Through our evolving tasting menus, we aim to create something meaningful, where technique meets intuition and every detail has a purpose.

We are looking for a passionate, dedicated, and motivated Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team and contribute to our ongoing culinary journey.

The Role

As Chef de Partie, you will take ownership of your assigned kitchen section, ensuring consistency, precision, and excellence in every preparation and service.

Working closely with the Head Chef and the rest of the kitchen brigade, you will contribute to the execution and development of our seasonal menus while maintaining the highest standards of quality, organization, and hospitality.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their craft, is curious about ingredients and techniques, and understands that exceptional cooking comes from discipline, teamwork, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

- Take full responsibility for the daily preparation, organization, and operation of your assigned section.
- Execute dishes with precision, consistency, and attention to presentation.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, flavour, and technique throughout service.
- Work with seasonal, local, and high-quality ingredients, respecting their integrity and characteristics.
- Follow recipes, preparation methods, and plating standards while maintaining an open mind toward new ideas and techniques.
- Participate in menu development, seasonal changes, tastings, and culinary research.
- Maintain excellent mise en place, organization, cleanliness, and food safety standards.

- Practice responsible ingredient handling, waste reduction, and sustainable kitchen habits.
- Communicate effectively with the Head Chef, Sous Chef, and fellow team members.
- Support and guide junior kitchen staff, contributing to a positive and collaborative working workplace.
- Remain calm, focused, and efficient during demanding service periods.

The Ideal Candidate

- Previous experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in a high-quality restaurant or fine-dining environment.
- Strong foundational culinary skills and a genuine passion for cooking.
- A solid understanding of ingredients, seasonality, and flavour development.
- Interest in Italian and Japanese culinary traditions, techniques, and philosophies.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
- High standards of cleanliness, discipline, and attention to detail.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work independently while being an integral part of a team.
- Creativity, curiosity, humility, and a desire to continuously improve.

Why Join Radici Project?

This is an opportunity to become part of an ambitious and evolving culinary project, work with exceptional ingredients, develop your technical skills, and contribute to a kitchen where creativity, craftsmanship, and collaboration are at the heart of everything we do.

At Radici Project, we are not simply looking for someone to fill a position. We are looking for someone who wants to grow with us, challenge themselves, and take pride in creating memorable dining experiences.

If you are passionate about cooking, driven by curiosity, and excited to be part of our journey, we would love to hear from you.
