The Original Spay Clinic is offering an exciting opportunity for a full-time/part-time Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. Located in the heart of downtown Edmonton, we are a full-service veterinary hospital committed to providing exceptional care to our patients and outstanding service to their owners.

We are seeking an energetic, dependable, and hardworking individual who enjoys working with people and animals and takes pride in creating a welcoming, positive, and qualified environment. The successful candidate will play an important role in the daily operations of our clinic by delivering excellent client service, coordinating front-desk activities, and supporting our veterinarians and veterinary technicians as required.

Job Overview

The Veterinary Receptionist helps create a welcoming, organized experience for clients and their pets. This role supports the daily flow of a veterinary practice by coordinating front-desk communication, appointments, and information for the care team.

Duties

- Welcome clients, respond to questions, and communicate clearly and patiently in person and by phone.
- Schedule appointments, relay messages,



and help coordinate client visits with veterinary staff.
- Maintain accurate client and appointment records, handle routine administrative tasks, and use basic computer tools.
- Keep the reception area organized and share relevant updates with colleagues to support smooth visits.
- Your impact: Clear communication and reliable records help clients feel informed and enable colleagues to focus on patient care.

Experience

Required: Clear communication, patience, accurate recordkeeping, and basic computer skills support effective reception work and dependable coordination with clients and colleagues.

Preferred: Previous veterinary reception or animal-care experience would be considered an asset. However, a strong customer service background, a willingness to learn, and a genuine passion for helping people and animals are equally important.

Pay: $17.00-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
