Position Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Conventional Machinist to join our team Monday to Friday 7:00am-4:30pm. The Conventional Machinist is responsible for setting up and operating conventional milling machines to manufacture precision components in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards. This role requires the ability to perform precision boring operations to H7 tolerances, select appropriate tools and fixtures, and inspect components using precision measuring instruments. The position also involves performing bench work, drill jig operations, equipment maintenance, and safe material handling while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Here’s what you’ll deliver:

- Set up and operate conventional milling machines to manufacture components according to specifications.
- Operate boring heads and boring bars to machine precision bores to H7 tolerance.
- Set up and use bore gauges to accurately measure and verify precision bores.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and equipment for machining operations.




- Determine and adjust machine speeds and feeds based on material and machining requirements.
- Inspect finished components using precision measuring instruments to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality standards.
- Safely operate hoisting and lifting equipment to load, unload, and position components.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and report any equipment issues.
- Complete bench work and operate drill jigs as required.
- Assemble and secure components in fixtures and complete drilling jig operations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with Company procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Compensation: $26.00 - $29.00 per hour
