Summary

We are currently seeking an experienced Landscape Construction Labourer / Skilled Landscaper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building retaining walls, installing pavers, and completing various landscape construction projects.

Responsibilities

- Construct and install retaining walls using Allan Block, concrete blocks, natural stone, and other materials.
- Prepare foundations, excavate, grade, and compact surfaces for retaining walls and hardscape installations.
- Install paving stones, patios, walkways, pathways, and other hardscape features.
- Perform landscape grading, leveling, and site preparation.
- Install drainage systems, gravel bases, and landscape edging.
- Assist with the installation of stairs, garden beds, sod, soil, mulch, and other landscape features.
- Read and follow basic landscape drawings, measurements, and site layouts.
- Operate construction equipment and power tools, including plate compactors, concrete saws, skid steers, and mini excavators, when trained and authorized.
- Perform general landscape construction duties, including excavation, material handling, and site cleanup.
- Ensure all work is completed according to company quality and safety standards.
- Work collaboratively with foremen, supervisors, and other crew members to complete projects efficiently.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Minimum 2 years of experience in landscape construction or hardscaping preferred.
- Hands-on experience constructing retaining walls is strongly preferred.
- Experience installing paving stones, patios, walkways, and other hardscape features.
- Knowledge of proper base preparation, compaction,



grading, and drainage techniques.
- Ability to operate landscape construction tools and equipment safely.
- Experience operating skid steers or mini excavators is considered an asset.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting heavy materials and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence is an asset.
- Reliable transportation to job sites or designated meeting locations.

Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour
