Technology, AI & Continuous Improvement

AI is part of how every role at YBL works. We use Claude every day alongside the AI built into our platforms, connected to the systems we run on, including Notion, Karbon, Compass, Microsoft 365, and YBL Relay for our own custom apps. Using AI well is a rated competency in reviews and a factor in compensation.

Across every role at YBL:

- Use Claude, its skills, and connectors to work directly with client and firm data in the systems where it lives.
- Use the AI built into the platforms you work in, such as Kai in Karbon.
- Review every output before it reaches a client or teammate, and have Claude ask rather than guess.
- Handle client information carefully, using only approved tools and connectors.
- Ask "should this be a skill?" about repetitive work, and share what works with the team.

At the Senior level, you will:

- Build, test, and own skills, and document them in Claude Assets.
- Review AI-assisted work from others and coach the team on effective, safe use.
- Use Claude and Compass to prepare advisory insights and client conversations.

How this is measured: You consistently meet the Claude and Kai usage targets on your department's EOS scorecard.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA designation preferred; candidates with significant, directly relevant experience may be considered in lieu of designation.
- Extremely solid written and verbal communication skills.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience,

preferably in a public accounting or cloud accounting environment.
- 2+ years of experience providing tax planning and client advisory services.
- Deep knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
