Our client, an established global manufacturing organization, is seeking an Assistant Accounting Manager to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to take on an expanded role, supporting the Accounting Manager across a broad range of accounting and financial operations.

The successful candidate will be involved in financial reporting, general accounting, accounts payable and receivable, cost analysis, budgeting, internal controls, audits, and accounting processes, while working closely with management and senior leadership.

It would be well suited to a strong Senior Accountant looking to take the next step in their career or an accounting professional with previous experience in a similar capacity.

Key Responsibilities

- Assists in the development and implementation of goals, policies, priorities and procedures relating to financial management, budget, accounting, and/or payroll
- Participates in the preparation of various financial statements and reports
- Assists the Accounting Manager in directing the installation and maintenance of accounting records to show receipts and expenditures
- Assists the Accounting Manager in directing the maintenance of general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, revenue distribution, depreciation, cost, property,



and operating expenses and insurance records
- Participates in cost analyses and rate studies
- Assists in preparing statements and reports of estimated future costs and revenues
- Participates in internal audits involving review of accounting and administrative controls
- Corporates external auditors in yearend financial audit and J-SOX audit
- Manage company’s fixed assets including maintaining records for general ledger, capitalizing, CIP and disposal
- Reviews financial statements with management personnel
- Credit Card processing and Petty Cash Administration
- Leases for executive group
- Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications

- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA, CGA is preferred
- Previous manufacturing experience is strongly preferred
- Progressive accounting experience
- Public accounting experience with manufacturing clients will also be considered
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills
