Our team works alongside medical staff to maintain a calm, orderly, and secure setting where patients feel safe and healthcare professionals can focus entirely on delivering quality care.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Healthcare Security Guard, you will act as a trusted and approachable presence throughout the facility. Your key responsibilities include:

- Conducting routine safety patrols across hospital grounds, patient care areas, entrances, hallways, and parking lots.

- Monitoring security cameras and alarm systems to identify potential safety hazards or unauthorized access.

- Calmly de-escalating tense or emotional situations using clear verbal communication skills.

- Assisting patients and visitors with general information and directions.

- Responding quickly to security calls, medical emergencies, and facility alarms alongside hospital staff.

- Writing clear, accurate daily activity logs and incident reports before the end of your shift.

- Politely enforcing hospital safety protocols and access control procedures.

Must Haves

- Valid Class 5 Driver's License.

- Current First Aid and CPR Level C certification (CSA-approved).





- Fluency in written and spoken English, with strong communication skills.

- Ability to pass a Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check.

- Completed Tuberculosis (TB) screening.

- Proof of primary childhood immunizations and an adult Tdap dose (with a booster within the last 10 years).

- Current Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) certifications, or the ability to complete prerequisite training prior to onboarding.

- Flexibility to work casual, as-needed 12-hour day and night rotations.

Nice-to-Haves

- Previous experience in security, customer service, law enforcement, or healthcare settings.
