About the Opportunity:

MediFlex Talent Solutions is partnering with an established, high-volume pharmacy in Scarborough to recruit a Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) to join its experienced and collaborative team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an RPhT who enjoys the technical side of pharmacy, takes pride in accuracy and patient safety, and appreciates working in an organized, supportive environment.

Unlike a traditional retail pharmacy setting, this operation primarily supports group homes through specialized medication preparation, packaging, and distribution.

You'll be joining an experienced team of pharmacy technicians, pharmacists, and pharmacy assistants, with clearly defined responsibilities and a structured workflow designed to support both quality and efficiency.

What You'll Be Doing:

- Perform technical checks on prescriptions, medication orders, and prepared medication packages.
- Verify the accuracy of medication trays, blister packaging, and other prepared medication systems.
- Ensure prescriptions and medication orders meet technical accuracy and documentation requirements.
- Collaborate closely with pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, and the production team to maintain safe and effective operations.
- Identify and resolve technical discrepancies while maintaining high standards of patient safety.
- Follow established pharmacy procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to a positive,

What We're Looking For:

Required Qualifications

- Active registration as a Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) with the Ontario College of Pharmacists.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to medication accuracy and patient safety.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work efficiently in a structured, high-volume environment.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
- Ability to receive feedback constructively and adapt to established workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

- At least one year of experience as a Registered Pharmacy Technician.
- Experience in a hospital, long-term care, institutional, or closed-door pharmacy environment.
- Community pharmacy experience is also welcomed.
- Familiarity with Kroll pharmacy software is an asset, but not required.
- Previous experience with medication packaging systems and technical checking processes.
