Clean Harbors in Sparwood, BC is hiring professional Class 1 and Class 3 drivers and operators to join our safety-focused team.

You’ll run semi vacs, wet vacs, combo units, hydrovacs, water trucks, tankers and trailers. The job is moving hazardous and non-hazardous waste from customer sites to Clean Harbors facilities.

Pay

- Local work: $40–$44/hour
- Travel work: $36–$38/hour, plus accommodations and per diem

Responsibilities

- Drive and operate semi vacs, vac, combo and water trucks, and other equipment to and from work sites
- Load and unload hazardous and non-hazardous goods correctly
- Do pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Keep dispatch updated clearly
- Do roadside repairs when needed




- Maintain and clean company equipment

Qualifications

- A valid Class 1 or Class 3 licence
- Class 1 applicants need previous semi vac experience
- Experience driving a manual transmission
- Experience with combo units, hydrovacs, wet vacs, trailers or tankers is an asset
- Previous experience operating, maintaining and repairing heavy equipment and vehicles
- Able to work shiftwork, including nights
- Able to travel out of town when needed
- Able to report to work in Sparwood, BC
- Willing to complete a drug test and a physical
