SD Consultants is a fast-paced architectural design firm specializing in commercial franchise projects across Canada and the United States.

We work with growing franchise brands to develop architectural drawing packages for new locations, renovations, and commercial tenant fit-outs.

We are looking for motivated, reliable Revit Drafters to join our growing team. We have a steady volume of projects and enough work to keep the right candidate busy full-time.

The Role

This is a drafting-focused position. We are not looking for a senior designer, architect, or building code expert. We need someone who knows how to use Revit, can follow instructions, produces accurate drawings, and takes deadlines seriously.

We are happy to train the right person on our drawing standards, franchise requirements, and internal processes.

Responsibilities

- Prepare architectural drawing packages in Autodesk Revit for commercial franchise locations.
- Develop floor plans, elevations, sections, details, schedules, and other construction drawings.
- Work from existing templates, design layouts, markups, and instructions.
- Revise drawings based on internal reviews and project changes.
- Maintain accurate, organized, and consistent drawing packages.
- Manage multiple projects while meeting established deadlines.
- Communicate virtually with our team when clarification or coordination is needed.

What We're Looking For

Revit proficiency is essential. Extensive industry experience is not.

Our ideal candidate is:

- Comfortable working independently in Autodesk Revit.
- Extremely detail-oriented, precise, and organized.
- Hardworking, motivated, and eager to learn.
- Able to work quickly without sacrificing accuracy.
- Reliable and committed to meeting deadlines.
- Comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Able to follow instructions, accept feedback,



and make corrections efficiently.
- Interested in developing their skills in commercial architectural drafting.

Previous commercial or franchise drafting experience is an asset but not required. Extensive building code knowledge is not necessary, as our team provides design direction and guidance.

Training & Compensation

We believe in training the right people rather than requiring years of experience.

- Initial training: Paid hourly contract work while learning our Revit standards, drawing packages, and workflow.
- After training: Opportunity to transition to project-based compensation, paid per completed drawing package.
- Work availability: Consistent ongoing projects, with the potential for full time drafting volume.
- Remote flexibility: Work from wherever you are, on a schedule that works for you, provided all deadlines are met.
- Virtual meetings: Availability for scheduled virtual training and coordination meetings is required, particularly during the initial training period.

We move quickly, manage multiple projects at once, and work with firm client deadlines.

We are looking for someone who thrives in that environment, takes pride in producing clean and accurate drawings, and genuinely enjoys drafting.
