Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

First UPS Inc. is looking for an experienced Industrial Electrician to help establish and grow our commercial and industrial UPS repair and service department.

The position will focus on hands on repairing, refurbishing, and testing single phase and three phase UPS systems at our North York facility.

We work with equipment made by APC/Schneider Electric, Eaton, Vertiv/Liebert, Tripp Lite, and others.

Previous UPS experience is an asset, but not required. We are looking for someone with a strong industrial electrical background who enjoys diagnosing problems, repairing equipment, and working with complex electrical systems.

As the department grows, the role may expand into customer-site maintenance, commissioning, and field service.

Responsibilities

- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical equipment and three-phase UPS systems.
- Troubleshoot faults
- Perform testing and verify equipment operation.
- Identify problems, repair, replace, fix
- Help establish equipment testing, repair, and refurbishment procedures.
- Support future UPS field service and maintenance activities as the department develops.

Requirements





- Significant hands on experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial electrical equipment.
- Strong understanding of single phase and three phase electrical systems.
- Excellent electrical diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and technical manuals.

Preferred Qualifications

- Ontario 442A Industrial Electrician or 309A Electrician certification.
- Experience with DC power systems (UPSs +)
- Experience repairing electrical or electronic equipment at the component or assembly level.
- Experience with UPS systems, backup power equipment, industrial battery systems.
- Previous experience with APC, Eaton, Vertiv, or similar equipment.
