About the Role

Excel Solutions is seeking skilled installation contractors to complete Starlink and other satellite and wireless installations in British Columbia. Contractors will visit residential and commercial customer sites to install, configure, test, and troubleshoot connectivity equipment.

This is field-based work requiring travel within the assigned service area, customer interaction, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

- Install and configure Starlink and other satellite communication systems
- Identify suitable equipment locations and securely mount dishes and related hardware
- Route and secure cables while protecting buildings and ensuring weatherproofing
- Set up routers, Ethernet connections, Wi-Fi, and related network equipment
- Test signal strength, connectivity, and overall system performance
- Troubleshoot satellite, wireless, low-voltage, and basic network issues
- Complete installation records, service reports, and required job documentation
- Communicate clearly with customers about the work and any installation requirements
- Follow applicable safety procedures and installation standards
- Support maintenance, repairs, and upgrades when required

Qualifications and Equipment





- Experience with satellite, wireless, telecommunications, or internet installations
- Working knowledge of Ethernet, computer networking, and Wi-Fi equipment
- Strong mechanical ability and confidence using hand and power tools
- Experience with low-voltage systems; electrical troubleshooting experience is an asset
- Familiarity with Cisco routers or telephony equipment is an asset
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and provide professional customer service
- Valid driver’s licence, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel within the assigned area
- Ability to work outdoors and at heights while following protected work practices
- Own and maintain suitable ladders and basic installation tools
- Carry appropriate business liability insurance and provide proof of coverage upon request

Contractor Information

This is an independent contractor opportunity. Work is assigned based on customer demand and contractor availability. Compensation, service area, equipment expectations, and payment terms will be confirmed before work begins.
