For in-person sessions in our Chatham office, we're seeking an Independent Contractor (RSW/RP) to cover shifts any time of the week, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm.

Once Upon A Time Therapy in Chatham-Kent, ON is growing! We are starting to build a thoughtful team of skilled therapists who want to do meaningful clinical work.

We are seeking a compassionate, autonomous Registered Social Worker (R.S.W.) or Psychotherapist to join us as an independent contractor Clinical Associate. In this role, you will provide independent counselling and psychotherapy services to your choice of populations (children aged 8+, teens, adults, or couples) for individual and/or couples-focused sessions.

While our current practice model uniquely blends narrative and creative therapy approaches, we warmly welcome therapists specializing in a diverse range of other evidence-based modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, EMDR, EFT, and more). This is a fee-for-service Independent Contractor (RSW/RP) role. Your number of clients will grow as we grow.

Responsibilities

- Provide high-quality, autonomous psychotherapy / counselling sessions using evidence-informed techniques based on client needs.
- Manage your own clinical documentation, treatment planning, and secure charting within JaneApp (in alignment with your College's requirements).




- Uphold strict data protection and client confidentiality standards in compliance with PHIPA and ethical regulations.
- Maintain active independent professional Registration with your College (OCSWSSW or CRPO), a clean vulnerable sector check, and personal professional liability insurance.

Requirements

- Valid Registration in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) as a Registered Social Worker (RSW) or CRPO as a Registered Psychotherapist.
- Masters degree (preferred), Bachelor's degree (required).
- Professional liability insurance.
- Proven therapeutic experience providing clinical counselling or psychotherapy to individuals (children, youth, adults) and/or couples.
- Working knowledge of PHIPA.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to safely engage and build rapport with clients.
- Comfortable working with electronic health records (JaneApp) and secure email workflows (Gmail).
- In-person availability in Chatham is required for this role.
