About Eco Lighting & Electrical Inc.
Eco Lighting & Electrical is an independent supplier, distributor, and installer of LED lighting products, control systems, and electrical distribution systems. We work in commercial, residential, industrial, multi-family, and horticultural settings, from wholesale supply to retrofits, new construction, and installation services.
The position
We require a Registered Electrical Apprentice (2nd Year or higher) to join our installation team. We are looking for a self-motivated apprentice electrician who shows up on time, works accurately and efficiently, and wants to be part of a team. Much of our work takes place in occupied residential and commercial buildings, so how you carry yourself around residents and property staff matters as much as the technical work.

- Install, retrofit, and repair commercial and multi-family LED lighting, controls, and electrical distribution
- Run conduit, pull wire, and terminate fixtures, devices, and panels to Canadian Electrical Code
- Troubleshoot issues on site and fix them, rather than just report them

- Hours vary by project.
Jobs are mostly in Calgary and area.
Required
- Registered with Alberta AIT as a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th Year Electrical Apprentice, or eligible to register at 2nd Year or higher (including recognized equivalency for internationally trained tradespeople)
- Fall protection and MEWP (lift) training, required before start
- Clean driving record and abstract
- Reliable personal transportation to the shop and job sites
- A strong command of the English language. This is a safety-sensitive position.
- Sound judgment when working with limited supervision
- Can-do attitude, ability to learn, and willingness to accept constructive feedback

- Commercial lighting experience
