AZ Cross-Border Truck Driver | Guelph, ON

Long-Haul | Canada & USA | $0.67 per Mile

We are currently recruiting an experienced AZ Cross-Border Driver for an established transportation company operating out of the Guelph, Ontario area.

This opportunity is ideal for a professional driver who enjoys longer runs, is confident navigating Canadian and U.S. highways, and has the experience to safely handle Northern Ontario's challenging winter driving conditions.

The Opportunity

- Home Terminal: Guelph, Ontario area
- Routes: Regular long-haul runs through Northern Ontario, Manitoba and the U.S. Midwest, with occasional trips to the southern United States
- Time Away: Approximately 5–7 days per trip
- Mileage Rate: $0.67 per mile (all miles)
- Equipment: Automatic transmission tractor-trailers

Driver Compensation

In addition to a competitive mileage rate of $0.67 per mile on all miles, drivers receive additional compensation for:

- Customer waiting time exceeding two hours, subject to applicable conditions
- Additional pickups and deliveries beyond the first pickup and delivery
- Drop-and-hook assignments
- Qualifying layovers

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a seasoned AZ driver who takes pride in their work, prioritizes safety and is comfortable operating independently on extended cross-border trips.

Qualifications:

- Valid Ontario AZ driver's licence, with 3 years driving experience
- Current Clean abstract and CVOR
- Verifiable cross-border tractor-trailer driving experience




- Strong understanding of Canadian and U.S. commercial driving regulations
- Demonstrated experience driving through Northern Ontario and Manitoba, particularly during winter months
- Familiarity with Northern Ontario's major trucking corridors, including Highways 11 and 17
- Valid passport and eligibility to enter the United States
- Acceptable driving record and safety history
- Ability to provide previous employment references and safety performance information

Northern Ontario Winter Driving Experience Is Essential

We're particularly interested in drivers who have firsthand experience navigating Highways 11 and 17 during winter conditions. Confidence, sound judgment and a strong commitment to safe driving are critical for this role.

Driver Screening Requirements

Candidates progressing through the recruitment process must be able to provide:

- Valid driver's licence
- Valid passport
- Current driver's abstract and CVOR record (issued within the previous 30 days)
- Criminal record check or valid QUICK card
- Information required to complete employment references and safety performance checks covering the previous three years
