Position Summary

TorqueMax is seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Representative with a background in construction equipment sales to develop new business opportunities and sell construction machinery directly to retail customers, contractors, construction companies, and other end users.

We are looking for candidates who understand the construction equipment industry, have experience selling machinery, and are confident in identifying customer needs, developing new accounts, and closing sales.

The ideal candidate has existing industry connections, strong sales and negotiation skills, and a basic understanding of equipment financing and leasing options.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify and develop new customers in the construction equipment market, including contractors, construction companies, equipment operators, and business owners.
- Promote and sell construction machinery, including wheel loaders, excavators, skid-steer loaders, compact track loaders, and other equipment.
- Actively prospect for new sales opportunities through customer visits, networking, referrals, and industry contacts.
- Understand customers' equipment requirements and recommend suitable machinery.
- Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing, and close sales.
- Build and maintain long-term customer relationships to generate repeat business and referrals.
- Explain basic equipment financing, leasing,



and installment payment options and assist customers in connecting with financing providers.
- Conduct customer visits, equipment demonstrations, and follow-up meetings as needed.
- Coordinate with internal teams regarding orders, equipment availability, delivery, and after-sales support.

Qualifications and Requirements

- Previous sales experience in the construction equipment or heavy machinery industry is required.
- Experience selling equipment such as excavators, wheel loaders, skid-steer loaders, compact track loaders, or similar construction machinery.
- Knowledge of construction equipment applications, customer needs, and industry sales processes.
- Experience developing new customers and managing business relationships.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Ability to work independently, prospect for recent business, and achieve sales targets.
- Proficiency in English is required. Additional languages are an asset but not required.
- Basic understanding of equipment financing, leasing, or installment payment options is preferred.
- Existing relationships with construction companies, contractors, or equipment buyers are a strong asset.
- Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel for customer visits.
