Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Maker to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and food safety, with a focus on creating high-quality sushi and Japanese cuisine. Duties

- Prepare and assemble sushi dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Handle all aspects of food preparation, including slicing, rolling, and plating sushi with precision and care
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist in meal preparation for various menu items beyond sushi as needed
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and rotated regularly
- Serve customers with professionalism and a friendly attitude, providing excellent food service experience
- Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure safety standards are met
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs for restocking

Requirements





- Proven experience in serving, food preparation, cooking, or food handling within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Knowledge of sushi preparation techniques and Japanese cuisine is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen operations
- Excellent skills in meal preparation, with attention to detail in presentation
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
- Prior restaurant experience is desirable; kitchen experience is a plus
- Passion for culinary arts and commitment to delivering exceptional food experiences
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings if required

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
