About Mobiltex
Mobiltex is an IIoT and software company delivering remote monitoring and software solutions that help maintain pipeline health for industries delivering critical services. Individual solutions target corrosion prevention, gas pressure management, and water network optimization, primarily serving midstream and downstream energy operators, and water utilities.
Mobiltex is a high-growth company in an active phase of product and organizational scaling, with potential for M&A;, as well as a growing international footprint. This is an environment that rewards people who can build structure where it doesn’t yet exist, and drive commercial output as the organization scales.
Role Summary
Mobiltex is looking for an Implementation Specialist to help set customers up for success on its CorInsights platform. You are someone who enjoys spending time with the customer to learn how they work with their data today and craft how they will work in CorInsights. You understand how our solutions work best and help customers move beyond how they've always done things to find new approaches that meet their business objectives. You are comfortable working independently, being hands-on with customer data, and using tools to script, clean, map, and transform data for import into CorInsights. Your customer and product knowledge guide you in validating data mappings and transformations. Working closely with the Onboarding Manager, you will configure CorInsights and create efficient, repeatable data transformation and load processes. You care about metrics like quality, time to go-live, and actual versus planned onboarding hours.
If you are based in Calgary, your first three months will have more office-based work to get hands-on training and learn alongside the team. After that, you'll work a hybrid mix of office and home days.
Core Responsibilities
Customer Discovery and Requirements
- Work with customers to understand their data, how they work today, and what business outcome they want from CorInsights.
- Go beyond the initial request: ask follow-up questions to identify the underlying need and recommend an approach that achieves the desired outcome.
- Determine whether a customer’s need can be met by configuration or requires a product enhancement and escalate enhancements with a clear business case.
Solution Configuration and Guidance
- Configure CorInsights to support each customer’s target processes during onboarding engagements.
- Advise customers on best-practice workflows in CorInsights, helping them adopt processes that meet their business objectives.
Data Transformation
- Analyze customer source data, usually spreadsheets of varying quality and structure, and assess how well it fits the CorInsights data model.
- Use product and customer knowledge to create data mapping documents. Use AI-assisted tools (e.g., Claude, Copilot) to script, clean, map, and transform customer data into CorInsights import formats.
- Validate transformed data against the source and work with customers to resolve data quality issues before import.
- Handle customer data in accordance with customer confidentiality and data-handling requirements, including internal standards for processing data through AI tools.
Collaboration and Scope
- Share customer insight with the product and engineering teams to inform the roadmap.
- Escalate defects and product change requests.
- Work with support and training colleagues so solutions are documented and supportable.
- Work alongside the Onboarding Manager, who owns scheduling, budget, and project governance, so this role can focus on the solution itself.
- Support 3–5 concurrent customer engagements, with more possible as tools improve.
Qualifications
Skills and Experience
- 7+ years in a customer-facing software role, such as application support, solutions support, or customer success, that went beyond break/fix troubleshooting to helping customers with scripting and configuration of software to reach business goals.
- A bachelor’s degree or diploma in a related field is an asset; equivalent experience is valued equally.
- Strong support and business analysis instincts: patient, methodical, and good at diagnosing the real issue behind a customer’s description of it.
- Requirements elicitation: able to ask good questions, challenge assumptions tactfully, and turn conversations into clear written requirements.
- Software literacy: a working understanding of how software is built, configured, and released, enough to communicate well with developers and set realistic expectations with customers.
- Strong spreadsheet skills and comfort with data structures, mapping, and cleansing.
- Familiarity with APIs and scripting languages (e.g., Python or similar).
- AI-assisted scripting: willing and able to use AI tools (e.g., Claude, Copilot) to build and refine data transformation scripts.
- Communication: explains technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences, in writing and in conversation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting or implementing configurable enterprise or SaaS software.
- Knowledge of pipeline integrity, corrosion control, or cathodic protection.
- Experience delivering customer training.
