Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Steam Truck Operator to join our agile team. In this role, you will operate specialized steam trucks to transport equipment and materials across job sites, ensuring safe and efficient delivery. Your expertise in truck driving and familiarity with various trailer types will be essential in supporting our operational needs and maintaining our reputation for excellence.

Duties

- Safely operate steam trucks equipped with manual transmissions to transport equipment, tools, and materials to designated locations.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate techniques, including forklift operation when necessary.
- Drive different types of trailers such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and tractor-trailers to meet project requirements.
- Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, routes driven, and vehicle inspections in compliance with company policies.




- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety standards are met; report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Follow all safety protocols during route driving and site operations to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate deliveries efficiently across multiple job sites.

Qualifications

- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with experience operating manual transmission trucks.
- Proven truck driving experience, including route driving and delivery operations within the oilfield or industrial sectors.
- Familiarity with operating various trailer types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and tractor-trailers.
- Experience loading & unloading freight using mechanical aids like forklifts or other equipment.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to trucking, cargo securement, and site operations.
- Ability to maintain detailed logs and complete documentation accurately.
