Role Overview

Reporting directly to the Controller, the Senior Accountant is a full-time, in-office role with core hours of 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility on start time. This position is central to the day-to-day financial operations of the business and touches accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general office administration.

Accounts Payable

- Receive, enter, and code invoices with job details and applicable GL coding
- Match invoices to price lists and supporting documentation
- Process payments by cheque, EFT, credit card, and e-transfer
- Reconcile vendor statements on a regular basis
- Reconcile internal credit card statements
- Participate in bi-monthly AP review with management
- Verify WorkSafe BC qualifications for subcontractors
- Manage petty cash and perform reconciliations

Accounts Receivable

- Receive and enter cheque payments
- Review bank activity and enter EFT, e-transfer,



and credit card receipts
- Send vendor statements
- Set up new clients and jobs in relevant software systems
- Follow up with AR clients on overdue invoices

Administrative Support

- Assist with coordinating company social events
- Manage company social media accounts
- Order and maintain inventory of branded company merchandise
- Manage cell phones and related accounts for staff
- File AR and AP documentation
- Apply for permits as required

What You Bring

- 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar accounting or bookkeeping role
- Background in the construction industry is a strong asset
- Experience with Sage 100 Contractor or similar Accounting software for construction
- High attention to detail with solid time management skills
- Proactive mindset with a drive to identify process improvements and cost-saving opportunities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
