We are opening a new surgical practice and are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our growing team.

This position offers four days per week, working two days at our East Hills location and two days at our Westhills location.

This is an excellent opportunity for an RN with experience in surgical nursing, sedation and patient monitoring who enjoys working in a hands-on clinical environment and wants to be part of establishing a new practice from the ground up.

Requirements

- Active registration and positive standing with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).
- Previous nursing experience in a surgical, procedural or sedation setting.
- Experience with patient monitoring, sedation and post-procedure recovery.
- Current BLS certification; ACLS certification is an asset.
- Strong assessment skills and ability to respond confidently to medical emergencies.
- Excellent communication, organization and patient care skills.
- Calm, compassionate and professional approach to patient care.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
- Ability to work at both East Hills and Westhills locations.

Responsibilities

- Provide nursing support during surgical procedures.
- Complete preoperative patient assessments and preparation.




- Monitor patients during sedation and recovery.
- Administer medications and assist with sedation within authorized scope and established clinical protocols.
- Monitor vital signs and identify changes in patient condition.
- Provide postoperative care, discharge instructions and patient education.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow infection prevention and safety protocols.
- Work collaboratively with the surgical team to ensure a safe and positive patient experience.
