Renovation Technician – Bang On Construction

Pay: CA$22.00–$28.00/hr (based on experience and skill level)

Bang On Construction is a design-build renovation company specializing in basement finishing, bathroom remodels, ADUs, and full-home renovations. We’re known for our craftsmanship, communication, cleanliness, and doing things the right way — with integrity and service at the core of everything we do.

As our workload grows, we’re expanding and are looking for a skilled, dependable Renovation Technician who can contribute on day one and continue growing with the company.

Position Overview

We’re looking to add a Renovation Technician to our team — someone who’s dependable, willing to learn, and committed to producing quality work.

We’re looking for someone with a few years of renovation experience who knows their way around a job site and can handle tasks independently.

You don’t need to be a senior carpenter. What matters most is your attitude, work ethic, and desire to develop your skills. We’ll invest in you with training and mentorship, and this is a long-term role with room to grow as our teams and project volume continue to expand.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the lead carpenter with day-to-day renovation tasks
- Handle tasks such as:
- Framing
- Tiling
- Drywall hanging & mudding
- Flooring
- Trim & finishing carpentry
- Painting
- Demolition
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites
- Load/unload materials, handle tools, and support workflow
- Follow safety procedures at all times
- Communicate clearly with the team and contribute to a positive, respectful work environment
- Take initiative, ask questions, and offer solutions when appropriate

Qualifications





We’re looking for someone with a few years of experience who knows what they’re doing.
Here’s what we’re looking for:

Must-Haves

- 2–3+ years of renovation or construction experience
- Experience with framing, drywall, flooring, or trim
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and reliability
- Willingness to learn and build on your current renovation skills
- Ability to take direction and work well as part of a team
- Physically capable of lifting, carrying, and performing hands-on tasks
- Driver’s licence and reliable transportation

Nice to Have

- Drywall taping
- Flooring installation
- Tile experience
- Basic understanding of plumbing or electrical principles
- Your own hand and power tools
