We are a music school with many teachers in various instruments and looking to add more, primarily clarinet and flute teachers as our current ones are full. And if you are a voice teacher, please do apply as well.

The pay rate is ranging between $30 to $40 depending on your experience, education, and performance in retaining students.

Requirements:

- come to teach in person at our school in West Vancouver on the designated teaching day

- be able to teach a variety of age ranges from young kids (from typically 8/9 yrs old) to adults

- be able to connect with teenagers as majority of students are in that range and are in school bands so they need private lessons to help them catch up

- preferably have university/college degree but if your experience is outstanding then having a degree is not essential.

- have good communication skills with both the student, parents, and our staff

- be organized and punctual

- prepare lesson plans according to the student's needs and have good teaching skills





- knowledge of RCM and its examinations are an asset

- though majority of our lessons are private, however ability groups can be an asset for creating ensembles

This job is meant for individuals who like to grow with a company and to stay long term to teach as our customers don't like to change teachers often. Hence, those with a stable plan to live in this city and with a permanent residency are preferred over those with a work permit. Second language such as Mandarin or Korean is an asset.
