We Move People is recruiting a CNC Set-Up Technician / Programmer for a manufacturing client. If you like owning the whole job, from writing the program and setting up the machine to proving out the first valuable part, this is a role where you can do that. The client provides training on its own equipment and processes.

What you'll be doing

- Writing and editing CNC programs and machine parameters

- Doing complete set-ups and changeovers, including tooling, work-holding and machine references

- Proving out new programs and fine-tuning until parts meet the drawing

- Running production, spotting quality issues early and correcting them

- Inspecting parts with standard measuring tools and completing quality documentation

- Basic machine upkeep, and working with engineering and maintenance on larger issues

What you bring





- Hands-on experience programming and setting up CNC machinery

- Experience on CNC lathes, turning centres or metal forming equipment is a strong asset

- Understanding of how program and machine adjustments affect the finished part

- Comfortable reading drawings, tolerances and GD&T;

- Mechanically inclined, a problem solver and keen to learn new processes
