Overview
North Coast Salvage & Recycling is seeking a full-time Experienced Torch Cutter to join our team. This position is responsible for safely and efficiently cutting, processing, and preparing scrap metal using oxy-acetylene equipment. The ideal candidate has previous torch cutting experience, strong safety awareness, and is comfortable working outdoors in an industrial scrap yard environment.

Responsibilities

- Perform oxy-acetylene torch cutting on a variety of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap materials
- Dismantle, size, and process large pieces of metal for recycling and transportation
- Identify different grades and types of scrap metal
- Assist with sorting, grading, and organizing materials throughout the yard
- Work alongside equipment operators to safely process incoming and outgoing materials
- Assist with other yard duties as required





Experience & Qualifications

- Experience in a scrap yard, demolition, industrial, welding, or metal processing environment is considered an asset
- Robust knowledge of safe torch cutting practices and equipment maintenance
- Ability to identify and process various types of scrap metal
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence

Pay: $28.00-$33.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
