We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Cleaner to perform general cleaning and housekeeping duties at an industrial worksite. The successful candidate will help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all site-specific safety procedures and requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning and housekeeping duties throughout the facility and designated work areas.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and clean floors, surfaces, and common areas.
- Empty garbage bins and dispose of waste in designated areas.
- Clean washrooms, lunchrooms, offices, and other assigned areas as required.
- Maintain cleanliness around work areas while ensuring walkways, exits, and access points remain transparent.
- Follow all site safety policies, procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
- Safely handle and use cleaning supplies and equipment according to instructions.
- Report hazards, spills, damaged equipment, or unsafe conditions to the appropriate supervisor.
- Complete other general housekeeping duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Valid Basic Safety Orientation (BSO) certification is required.
- Previous cleaning or industrial housekeeping experience is considered an asset.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to perform physical duties, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting as required.
- Reliable transportation and punctuality.
- Willingness to comply with all site-specific safety training and PPE requirements.
Work Environment
- Industrial facility or designated worksite.
- Must follow all applicable workplace health and safety requirements.
- PPE must be worn as required by the site.
