Bearpaw Heli-Skiing is a small owner/operated heli ski operation and lodge located in Sinclair Mills, BC 100km northeast of Prince George, BC. We specialize in private small groups welcoming just 8 guests per week. We offer a high end experience with warm hospitality, in a small intimate setting. The Bearpaw Team thrives in a winter environment, have a love of the outdoors and the love of meeting & hosting guests from around the world. The team brings positive attitudes and ambition to work every day with a strong emphasis on safety in the workplace.

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated skilled sous chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, exceptional food service, strong dessert and pastry skills. It is essential to have the ability to work as a team member in a small kitchen.

Seasonal - 3.5 months December 16, 2026 to April 6, 2027 (with Christmas break)
Schedule is 6 days on - 1 day off
Accommodation is a small private cabin.
Meals are provided.

Responsibilities

- Work with the chef in managing all aspects of the kitchen
- Prepare desserts, baked goods & soups for lunches
- Prepare staff lunches & dinner one day a week
- Assist chef in food prep
- Be prepare to jump in and help where ever needed




- Cover for the chef in case of sickness or emergency
- Must be adaptable on menu changes
- Maintaining a high level of cleanliness and food safety
- Be enthusiastic and polite
- Cooperation, working jointly with others towards a common goal of exception customer service

Qualifications & Requirements

- Formal culinary training
- Experience as a sous chef
- Must have current references
- The love of cooking
- Food Safe - Level 1
- Strong work ethic
- Experience in customer service
- A collaborative leadership style , supportive, humble and focused on team success
- The ability to stay calm and organized
- Excellent communication interpersonal skills

Physical Demand

- Standing for long hours
- Long days
- Ability to lift 50lbs
