Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide a positive first impression
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Escort guests to their tables promptly and assist with seating arrangements as needed
- Answer phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette and provide accurate information about the restaurant’s services and availability
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and service flow
- Handle guest inquiries or concerns courteously, escalating issues when necessary
- Assist in maintaining a welcoming environment that reflects excellent hospitality standards
Skills
- Proven experience in guest services, hospitality, or food service roles
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with guests and team members
- Knowledge of restaurant POS systems, particularly Micros POS or similar platforms
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
