Laboratory personnel will be responsible for performing all specified tests and solution analysis as well as any additional analysis. Results of all tests and analysis will be recorded and graphed accordingly. Laboratory personnel will also be required to follow periodic calibration and maintenance procedures.

Job Duties

● Perform routine sample preparation and analysis using ICP, GC ECD,

Bomb Calorimeter, Auto Titrator and Karl-Fischer

● Sample drums and perform compatibility testing and analysis

● Report analytical results and coordinate with production personnel

● Maintain accurate analysis, maintenance, and production records

● Assist other facility operators as needed

● Perform general laboratory and facility housekeeping duties

● Conduct yourself in a professional and cost effective manner at all times.

● Maintain a clean appearance at all times.

● Treat all customers in a courteous and professional manner.

● Abide by the rules and requirements while on customer or GFL property.

● Perform lab packing and de-packing duties.

● Complete all necessary paperwork to complete the job including acquiring

signatures as required.

● Assist both sales and operations with Technical information gathering for





materials going into or out of GFL’s Liquid East facilities.

● Assist with the coding and shipments of Lab-Pack materials.

● Perform additional duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Requirements

● Environmental or Chemical Engineering Technician or Technologist of related

Diploma

● Previous lab experience is an asset

● Competent computer skills (MS Windows and Office)

● Strong interpersonal skills

● Must be motivated, able to multi-task, and work effectively in a team environment

● Must be safety conscious and detail oriented

● Strong organizational and communication skills

● Ability to follow procedures and work with minimum supervision

● Willing to work overtime, alternate shifts and occasional weekends.
