Our client is a growing commercial development and construction company headquartered in Calgarydelivering projects across Canada. They are looking for an Accountant to own the full transaction cycle. Reporting to theController you will code supplier and subcontractor invoices to job and cost code matchthem to purchase orders and subcontracts and prepare payment runs. You will confirm WCB clearance insurance and statutory declarations before payment administer holdbacks andtrack prompt payment deadlines. On the receivables side you will prepare progress invoicesand draw packages and follow through on collections. Month-end accruals reconciliationsand GST and PST returns round out the role.
To succeed you are accurate organized and persistent take ownership of your work andcommunicate clearly with the office the field and management.
To qualify you have three or more years of full-cycle accounting experience in constructionengineering or another project-based business including job costing holdbacks and progress
billing. You are proficient in QuickBooks Online and Excel and hold an accounting diploma or degree. Progress toward a qualified designation is an asset.
