Build a career, not just a job. At Intelliflex, you'll work with people who take pride in doing things right, support each other, and help you grow every step of the way.
About the Role Intelliflex is hiring a
Process Engineer
to help stand up our new Processes function and bring formal control-theory and plant-process discipline to how our datacenter product line is engineered, documented, and continuously improved. This is a ground-floor role: you'll be one of the first hires into a newly created department, working directly with the Director of Engineering to define standards that don't fully exist yet.
Key Responsibilities
Apply control theory and plant/process engineering principles to datacenter equipment and systems — cooling, power distribution, and automation-adjacent processes.
Develop, document, and maintain process standards, work instructions, and technical procedures that other engineering disciplines (Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, Manufacturing) can follow consistently.
Partner with the Automation and Manufacturing departments to translate process/control requirements into equipment specifications and production workflows.
Author clear, audit-ready technical documentation — process flow diagrams, control narratives, standard operating procedures — suitable for both internal engineering use and customer/regulatory review.
Support root-cause analysis on process deviations and drive corrective/preventive action through to documented closure.
Help define formal Quality Assurance / Quality Control ownership for the Processes department as it matures.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Master’s degree in chemical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Controls/Process Engineering,
or a closely related field.
Demonstrated experience with control theory and/or plant/process engineering — coursework alone is not sufficient; we're looking for applied experience, whether from industry, a research program, or a plant workplace.
Strong technical writing skills — able to produce process documentation, procedures, and reports that a non-author can pick up and follow without clarification.
Ability to translate process/control concepts into practice in a datacenter or similarly mission-critical, uptime-sensitive environment.
Professional Engineer registration with APEGA (Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta), or eligibility to register.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in a datacenter, mission-critical facility, or continuous-process manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with process safety management or formal QA/QC frameworks.
Experience working cross-functionally with automation, mechanical, and electrical engineering teams.
