Position Purpose

The General Labourer assists the warehouse team with the preparation, loading, and unloading of building materials for delivery.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with the preparation of trucks for loading.
- Ensure load security and accuracy.
- Maintain the general appearance and housekeeping of work areas.
- Follow all regulations, company policies, and procedures.
- Assist other warehouse staff as required.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
- Customer service in the yard.
- Load material into vehicles.
- Cut material if needed.
- General yard housekeeping.

Basic Qualifications

- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Basic hand tool skills.

Physical Requirements

- Ability to lift and carry up to 100lbs.
- Frequently climbing up and down stairs and onto trucks and material.
- Pulling, pushing, bending and torso twisting movements with weight.
- Customer service in the yard.
- Load material into vehicles.
- Cut material if needed.
- General yard housekeeping.

Compensation

The payscale for this role is $20-22 per hour.

The (range of) compensation for this position is $20.77 to $24.09
