Support Yukon transportation infrastructure as a Heavy Equipment Operator II operating graders, loaders, dump trucks, and tractor trailers.

The Government of Yukon’s Highways and Public Works department is hiring for a permanent full time Transportation position. Based in Stewart Crossing, the work contributes to construction and maintenance of highways, recreational roads, airstrips, and other facilities. The position requires equipment operation experience, safety procedures,



and minor servicing knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate graders for transportation maintenance activities
• Drive tractor trailers and other heavy equipment
• Support construction and maintenance across Yukon
• Service equipment through greasing and oil changes
• Follow pre-trip, post-trip, and safety procedures

Requirements:

• Experience operating graders, loaders, or dump trucks
• Experience completing equipment inspections
• Yukon Class 3 licence with air endorsement
• Obtain Yukon Class 1 licence within six months
• Travel throughout Yukon and work in adverse weather
