Support mission-critical data centre operations in Burnaby as a Data Centre Operator specializing in electrical and mechanical infrastructure. Work fully onsite.

This intermediate role with TEKsystems supports 24/7 facilities through rotating 12-hour shifts. You will monitor infrastructure, coordinate maintenance, respond to incidents, and support audits across Vancouver data centres. The position requires practical knowledge of BMS, BAS, electrical systems, and mechanical systems. You will report to the Data Center Manager while making autonomous repair decisions within assigned authority. The team supports the complete workplace, including occasional garbage removal and snow shoveling.

Key Responsibilities:

- Monitor local data centre infrastructure and facility conditions
- Manage preventative and corrective infrastructure maintenance




- Diagnose faults and assist root cause analysis
- Coordinate vendors, contractors, shipping, and receiving
- Rack hardware and install copper and fiber cables

Requirements:

- Four-plus years in data centre or mission-critical environments
- Mechanical, electrical, BMS, EPMS, and BAS experience
- Ticketing systems and ITIL principles experience
- Ability to obtain Reliability Clearance with Canadian residency
- Ability to lift 55 pounds and work at heights
