Bayshore HealthCare’s Northern Staffing Program offers two to six week assignments in British Columbia’s remote northern communities. Licensed nurses support Indigenous Peoples through nursing stations or health centers in a clinic atmosphere. The work includes observation, assessment, nursing diagnosis, counseling, health teaching, immunizations, and communicable disease control.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide primary and emergency care to residents from newborns through elders
• Use observation, assessment, and nursing diagnosis skills
• Create and implement care plans using clinical practice guidelines
• Deliver health promotion,

• Support emotional, spiritual, physical comfort and client safety

Requirements:

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
• Hold a nursing license in positive standing
• Obtain licensing in selected provinces or territories when required
• Meet required work experience
• Complete mandatory skills and additional training requirements
