Develop leadership through flat-water canoeing and outdoor instruction at YMCA Camp Pine Crest in Torrance, Ontario. This seasonal contract includes six-day availability.

As a Leadership Trainer Flat Water, you will facilitate programs that strengthen self-awareness, group development, resilience, confidence, and technical outdoor skills. You will work with another trainer during in office programming and wilderness canoe trips. The position provides continuous supervision, instruction, mentorship, and support while residing with participants.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan activities, learning sessions, and participant debriefs
- Coach participants in personal growth and group participation
- Deliver programming during camp and wilderness trips




- Supervise participants in accommodations and outdoor settings
- Maintain equipment and follow trip safety protocols

Requirements:

- First Aid and CPR certification meeting stated requirements
- Required lifeguarding, wilderness first aid, food handling, and canoe certifications
- Experience leading overnight wilderness trips
- Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills
- At least 19 years old by contract start
